Job summary

A leading insurance company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Executive for Finance (Investment Operations) on a contract basis. The role involves managing daily investment operations tasks, preparing unit pricing for funds, and ensuring accuracy in investment-related reporting. The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor's degree in Economics or Finance, along with at least 1 year of relevant experience in investment operations or unit pricing, along with good communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Economics, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in Investment Operations.
• Exposure to Unit Pricing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare daily investment operations tasks like trade matching and settlements.

Finance (Investment Operations), Executive (Contract)

This position is responsible for investment operational task, unit pricing valuation and investment related reporting.

To ensure operations task, unit pricing and reporting deliverables are within timelines and accurate, adhered with all standard operating procedures, policies, regulatory requirements and/or code of conduct at all time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investment operations daily task preparation e.g. trade matching, confirmation and settlement.
• Liaise and follow up with external parties on daily operations matters.
• Investment income monitoring, matching and system settlement.
• Preparation of daily Investment Linked Fund’s unit pricing and publication.
• Preparation of investment related accounting entries to capture in GL system and monthly investment assets reconciliation.
• Investment operations related administrative task e.g. accounts opening, update board resolution.
• Preparation of investment related reports. Ensure timely, completeness and accuracy of reports.
• Maintain proper documentation for all correspondences related to the job function.
• Undertake other tasks or projects assigned by superior as at when needed.
• Kaizen: Process improvement to increase operations efficiency and accuracy.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Economics, Finance/Accountancy/Banking or equivalent.
• At least 1 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Preferably with exposure in Investment Operations / Unit Pricing.
