Job Overview

We are seeking a Finance Manager, based in Malaysia, to manage the company’s local finance operations while also overseeing HR, IT, and general administration support functions.

This is a hands-on, multi-functional role ideal for someone who enjoys operational responsibility, local compliance management, and working closely with both corporate and operational teams. The role will support both B2B and B2C business activities in Malaysia.

The role reports operationally to the Country Manager of MY and functionally to Head of Finance, based in Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

Finance & Accounting (Primary Responsibility)

Manage full-spectrum finance and accounting activities, including AR, AP, GL, month‑end close, and financial reporting.

Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, forecasts, and cashflow projections.

Perform costing and analysis for manufactured or trading items.

Ensure compliance with Malaysian statutory, tax, and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and corporate secretaries.

Payroll & HR Administration

Prepare and process monthly payroll, including statutory contributions (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB).

Support HR administration, including employee records, onboarding/offboarding, and leave management.

Ensure HR policies and practices comply with Malaysian labour laws.

Act as the local point of contact for HR‑related matters in coordination with regional HR leadership.

IT & Systems Support

Oversee day‑to‑day IT support and liaise with external vendors or regional IT teams.

Ensure business systems (finance, payroll, POS, ERP where applicable) operate effectively.

Support data security, access control, and basic IT governance at the local level.

General Administration & Compliance

Manage office administration, business licences, permits, and statutory filings.

Coordinate inspections, renewals, and compliance matters with relevant authorities.

Provide general operational support to warehouse, office, and business teams.

Overseas Support

Depending on the volume of work, the candidate may be required to support overseas activities and operations.

Key Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or Business Administration.

Minimum 6–8 years of relevant experience, preferably in small medium enterprises or growing organisations.

Willingness to hands‑on.

Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, tax, and payroll regulations.

Understanding of costing for manufacturing environment is a plus.

Prior experience in handling payroll end‑to‑end.

Comfortable taking on HR, IT, and admin responsibilities alongside finance.

Experience in food retail and distribution sectors is an advantage.

Strong attention to detail, hands‑on mindset, and ability to work independently.

Good communication skills in English; Bahasa Malaysia proficiency required.
