Job summary

A manufacturing firm in Malaysia is seeking an Accounting Assistant to support financial reporting and manage accounts payable and receivable. Job Description
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Handle accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring accurate and timely processing.
  • Maintain and update general ledger entries and support month-end closing activities.
  • Assist in payroll processing, utilities, and other related accounting functions.
  • Monitor cash flow, stock balances, and reconcile bank statements.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting activities by preparing relevant financial data.
  • Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and revenue/expenditure variance analysis.
  • Ensure proper documentation, filing, and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
  • Liaise with auditors, tax agents, and other external parties when required.
  • Perform any other ad hoc duties assigned by Finance Manager or management.
Job Requirements
  • Diploma / Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • At least 1-3 years of relevant working experience in accounting/finance; experience in manufacturing industry will be an advantage.
  • Good communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; Mandarin proficiency will be an added advantage.
  • Basic knowledge of financial regulations, accounting principles, and reporting standards.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; familiarity with accounting software / ERP system (SAP / Oracle) is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently with minimum supervision.

Salary Range: RM3.5k - RM5k
