Job Summary

The Executive, Finance (Financial Reporting) will be responsible for preparing accurate and timely financial and management reports, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting key finance operations including Sukuk monitoring reporting, loan management, and investment activities. The role offers exposure to large-scale infrastructure financing and structured Sukuk programmes under Malaysia’s flagship East Coast Rail Link (ECRL) project.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with MFRS/IFRS.
  2. Support the preparation of management reports, variance analysis, and consolidation of financial data.
  3. Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
  4. Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and internal financial reporting requirements.
  5. Coordinate with external auditors, tax agents, and other stakeholders.
  6. Maintain and update financial records for audit and reporting purposes.
  7. Support Sukuk programme reporting, loan disbursement tracking, and investment activities.
  8. Participate in continuous improvement and digitalisation initiatives within the finance function.
Requirements
  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
  2. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a Big 4 audit firm.
  3. Strong knowledge of accounting standards (MFRS/IFRS) and financial reporting principles.
  4. Proficient in Microsoft Excel; experience with accounting/ERP systems is an advantage.
  5. Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  6. Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  7. A team player with a proactive and learning mindset.
