Job summary

Confidential Jobs in Malaysia is seeking a Finance Associate to support month-end closing, prepare cash flow and management reports, and ensure journal entries are posted to the General Ledger.

You will liaise with auditors, departments, and the operations team, review existing processes, and participate in continuous improvement initiatives; fresh grads with internship in Audit/GL/AR are welcome.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent; professional qualification preferred.
• At least 1 year of working experience in a related field.
• Fresh graduates with internship experience in Audit/GL/AR are welcome.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Timely preparation of monthly closing, cash flow and management reports.
• Ensure journal entries are processed in line with month end schedule and posted to GL.
• Managing and processing Accounts Payable cycle transactions and payments.
• Liaise with departments for documents coordination.
• Assist in reviewing accounting processes and drive process improvements.
• Work with business development and operations to plan and resolve finance matters.
• Liaise with internal/external auditors and authorities to ensure compliance.
• Assist on ad-hoc assignments as required.

• Timely preparation of monthly closing, cash flow and management reports.
• Ensure all journal entries are processed in line with month end schedule and all batches are posted to General Ledger.
• Managing and processing Accounts Payable cycle transactions and payments.
• Liaise with various departments for documents coordination.
• Assist in the review of existing accounting processes and operation workflows and participate in continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with the business development and operations team to plan, monitor and resolve finance related matters.
• Liaise with internal and external auditors such as Group Tax, Group Legal, Group Secretary and Group Treasury, banks and government authorities to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
• Assist on ad-hoc assignments as assigned from time to time.

Job Requirements:

• Possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent. Preferably with professional accountancy qualification (i.e. CA/ACCA/CIMA/CPA/ ICAEW)
• At least 1 year of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Fresh Graduate with experience in Audit, GL and AR in internship are welcome to apply.
