Tunku Abdul Rahman University of Management and Technology (TAR UMT) is a premier institution of higher learning in Malaysia, providing quality tertiary education since 1969. Originally known as TAR College until 2013, it then became TAR University College until 2022, and is now recognized as TAR UMT.

Responsible for assisting in monthly accounts closing, including preparation of financial statements, supporting schedules and related matters. The individual also requires to assist in daily operations, and maintain general ledger accuracy through journal entries into the accounting system, to perform monthly reconciliation schedules and follow up on outstanding discrepancies items (i.e. bank accounts, fund and bank balance, etc.).

Other responsibilities also include to assist with the preparation of audit schedules, identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness within the finance department.

  • Candidate should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Meticulous and attention to details, accuracy in finance analysis and reporting.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic environment to meeting tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with internal departments, and external stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Advanced Microsoft Excel skill set.
