Position: Finance Business Partner (Electromechanical EPC Projects)
Position Highlights:
  • Deep involvement in the full lifecycle of large-scale EPC projects, fostering project management talent with strategic financial thinking.
  • Exposure to cutting-edge infrastructure projects (e.g., data centers, renewable energy power stations), broadening and deepening financial management capabilities.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the electromechanical EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) business model and participate in full-cycle project management, providing decision‑making support from a financial perspective.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop project budgets, cost control checkpoints, and profitability targets, ensuring alignment between financial goals and business strategy.
  • Produce regular business analysis reports to identify risks such as cost overruns and margin fluctuations, and offer optimization recommendations.
  • Lead the end‑to‑end financial accounting for EPC projects, including contract revenue recognition, cost aggregation, project settlement, and tax planning.
  • Monitor project cash flow, coordinate funding plans, and ensure compliance and efficiency in key areas such as project payment collection and supplier disbursements.
  • Build financial models for projects, evaluating key investment metrics such as ROI and NPV.
  • Provide performance evaluation indicators for various departments involved in the project.
  • Establish a cost database for electromechanical engineering, analyzing cost drivers such as equipment procurement, labor, and subcontracting to optimize cost structure.
  • Supervise compliance throughout project execution to ensure adherence to accounting standards, industry policies, and internal control requirements.
  • Drive business process digitalisation (e.g., ERP system optimisation) to improve financial and operational data flow efficiency.
  • Develop standardised financial control manuals and training mechanisms tailored to EPC project characteristics.
Job Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited university in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Electromechanical Engineering; holds Intermediate Accountant certification. CPA/CMA preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management, with at least 3 years in financial BP or project finance roles within engineering companies (electromechanical/construction preferred).
  • Familiar with full-process financial management of EPC projects, with deep knowledge of construction contract accounting standards (or the new revenue standard) and industry-specific tax policies.
  • Proficient in financial modeling and data analysis tools; experienced with ERP systems used in the EPC industry.
  • Strong understanding of finance‑business integration logic; capable of quickly analysing the cost structure and profit drivers of electromechanical engineering projects.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication skills and ability to solve problems under pressure.
  • Experience managing finances for large-scale EPC projects (e.g., municipal works, industrial plants, renewable energy stations, data centre construction).
  • Willingness to travel to locations such as Malaysia, Spain, and others as required.
