Position Overview

We are now hiring a Finance Business Partner (Full-time Remote) in Johor Bahru, Malaysia to take ownership of financial operations, reporting, and advisory support. This role will directly contribute to business decision-making, ensuring transparency, compliance, and long-term growth.

  • Provide analytical and technical financial/accounting support.
  • Manage diverse duties across departments within finance and accounting.
  • Build, examine, and compile weekly and monthly financial statements and reports.
  • Ensure precision, detail orientation, and advanced use of Microsoft Excel in daily work.
  • Operate independently with minimal supervision.
  • Knowledge of corporate income tax, indirect tax, withholding tax, and transfer pricing is an advantage.
  • Collaborate closely with regional stakeholders across Southeast Asia.
Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business teams to plan and execute financial strategies and projects.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, consolidate accounts, and manage forecasting, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Draft budgets, income statements, balance sheets, and regulatory reports.
  • Assist with tax returns and ensure compliance with accounting standards and local regulations.
  • Manage risks in financial activities and evaluate business performance.
  • Estimate short- and long-term financial objectives and track company KPIs.
  • Provide insights and financial analysis to support decision-making and ROI evaluation.
  • Handle ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills Required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Professional accounting certifications (CPA, CA, or equivalent) are an added bonus.
  • Background in Big 4 accounting firms, or proven experience as an Accountant, Finance Assistant, or similar role.
  • Strong experience with preparing and managing complex financial statements.
  • Advanced MS Excel skills and proficiency with accounting software.
  • Comprehensive understanding of bookkeeping, accounting, and finance procedures.
  • Experience building P&L and balance sheets from GL level.
  • Excellent time-management and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Language skills: English, Chinese, Indonesian.
