Job summary

Agilent Technologies LDA Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. invites an experienced Finance Analyst to own end-to-end statutory reporting and tax compliance for Malaysia entities. This role collaborates with external auditors, tax advisors, and authorities to ensure timely, accurate filings and strong audit readiness.

You will coordinate audits, prepare disclosures under US GAAP and local GAAP, and support corporate tax and regulatory filings, partnering with Finance, Tax, Legal, and Shared Services teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in statutory reporting, audit, tax compliance, or financial compliance.
• Big 4 audit or tax experience preferred.
• Experience working with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.
• Working knowledge of corporate income tax, withholding tax, and stamp duty requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory financial statements and disclosures per US GAAP, local GAAP, and statutory rules.
• Coordinate end-to-end statutory audit activities, including planning and responding to auditor questions.
• Support local tax compliance activities: corporate income tax, withholding tax, stamp duty, and regulatory filings.
• Reconcile accounting and tax schedules to align statutory and tax filings.
• Serve as primary contact for auditors, tax agents, and IRB inquiries.
• Collaborate with Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury, and shared service teams to resolve compliance issues.
• Identify control gaps and risks; suggest improvements for audit readiness.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation for statutory and tax deliverables.

Job description

The Finance Analyst provides end-to-end compliance support for assigned Malaysia entities by owning statutory reporting, audit coordination, and selected local tax compliance activities. The role serves as a key link between accounting and tax requirements, working closely with external auditors, tax advisors, and tax authorities to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant statutory and tax filings.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and review statutory financial statements and related disclosures in accordance with US GAAP, local GAAP, and statutory requirements.

Own end-to-end statutory audit coordination, including audit planning, preparation of supporting schedules, management of auditor queries, and timely completion of audits.

Coordinate and support local tax compliance activities, including corporate income tax, withholding tax, stamp duty, and other regulatory filings for assigned entities.

Prepare and reconcile accounting and tax-related schedules to ensure consistency between statutory financial statements and tax filings.

Act as the primary contact for external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities, including the Inland Revenue Board (IRB), for routine compliance matters, audits, inquiries, and information requests.

Coordinate with external tax advisors on tax return preparation, tax computations, tax estimates, amendments, and tax audit support while maintaining ownership of data quality and issue resolution.

Support the management of non-routine compliance matters, including tax audits, IRB reviews, stamp duty assessments, and other regulatory inquiries.

Partner with Finance, Tax, Legal, Treasury, and shared service teams to resolve compliance-related issues.

Identify process gaps, control weaknesses, and business continuity risks, and recommend improvements to strengthen compliance execution and audit readiness.

Maintain comprehensive documentation and support files for statutory and tax deliverables.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

CPA, ACCA, CA, MIA, or equivalent professional qualification preferred.

8+ years of experience in statutory reporting, audit, tax compliance, or financial compliance, preferably in an MNC environment.

Big 4 audit or tax experience preferred.

Experience working with external auditors, tax agents, and regulatory authorities.

Working knowledge of corporate income tax, withholding tax, and stamp duty requirements.
