Job summary

Tan Chong Group in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a detail-oriented accounting assistant to support data entry, accounts preparation, and financial reporting. You will help ensure accuracy and timeliness of statutory statements and budgets while maintaining orderly filing and documentation.

Collaborating with operations and auditing teams, you will contribute to compliant and efficient financial processes in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy/Finance or equivalent.
• Basic accounting knowledge and accuracy in financial data entry.
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, time management and communication skills.
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Enter financial data into the accounting system accurately and completely.
• Assist in preparing accounts, financial performance reports, statutory financial statements, budget and other accounting and finance-related work in a timely manner.
• Prepare reconciliation and ensure all the accounting records are properly updated, reconciled in the accounting system and compliance with company policy and government authorities.
• Organize financial documents and maintain an accessible filing system.
• Communicate with the operations department, auditors and other parties where necessary.
