Job summary

A financial services company in Malaysia is seeking an experienced accounting professional to manage the full financial reporting functions, including payroll processing and regulatory submissions. The ideal candidate will possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 3 years of relevant experience, demonstrating strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills.   • Responsible for full spectrum of payroll processing, including salary, overtime, bonuses, and allowances.

Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Finance

Maintain a full set of accounts and assist with month-end and year-end closing.

Manage Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), bank reconciliations, and cash flow monitoring.

Prepare, process, and submit banking documentation, including financial instruments and Letters of Credit (LC), and liaise with banks.

Prepare annual budgets, financial analysis, and forecasts.

Assist in the preparation of audit, tax, and accounting schedules for statutory and regulatory submissions.

Ensure proper financial documentation, filing, and record‑keeping.

Track actual expenses against the budget and assist in variance analysis.

Ensure all data entry and documentation comply with internal control procedures and accounting policies.

Payroll & Statutory Contributions

Responsible for full spectrum of payroll processing, including salary, overtime, bonuses, allowances, and statutory deductions.

Liaise with government bodies on monthly statutory submissions (e.g., EPF, SOCSO, HRDC, income tax).

Review and verify timesheets, leave records, and attendance data to ensure accurate pay calculation.

Assist in annual audits, tax filings, and other payroll‑related requirements.

Maintain and update payroll records and employee data.

Additional Responsibilities

Manage vendor payments, contracts, renewals, and office‑related expenses.

Assist in day‑to‑day AP/AR operations, including processing invoices, verifying claims, and issuing billings.

Compile data to support cash flow reports and financial statements.

Retrieve documents and prepare schedules for external auditors and tax agents.

Perform other administrative or ad‑hoc finance‑related tasks as assigned.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or professional accounting qualification (ACCA, MIA, MICPA, ASCPA preferred).

Minimum 3 years of relevant working experience.

Independent, with strong interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.

Ability to handle multiple tasks under time constraints and meet deadlines.
