Job summary

Honeywell International, Inc. in Malaysia is seeking a Field Service Engineer I to serve as the premier technical contact for customers in the Oil & Gas and process industries. You will install, commission, maintain, and troubleshoot Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and Honeywell DCS, ensuring site safety and operational excellence.

The role requires hands-on field service experience, strong customer interfaces, and a proactive attitude to complete projects on-site at client plants in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years hands-on field service engineering in oil & gas or heavy process industries.
• Deep Honeywell control systems and SIS knowledge with on-site experience.
• Willingness to work on-site at plant locations and maintain safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead troubleshooting, maintenance, and configuration of Honeywell DCS and related control systems.
• Provide on-site customer support at Oil & Gas plants as primary technical interface.
• Install, startup, test FAT/SAT, and commission control systems.
• Maintain thorough documentation of maintenance actions and incident reports.
