A leading automation solutions provider in Malaysia is seeking a technical support engineer to provide on-site software installation and troubleshooting for customers. Candidates should hold a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, with at least 2 years of experience preferred. Strong troubleshooting skills in software and hardware are essential, along with excellent customer service abilities. Travel may be required for customer support. Provide on‑site software installation and technical support to customers, resolving complex issue related to automation software systems.
Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware/wiring and software problems in a timely and efficient manner.
Communicate technical solutions to customer in a clear and concise manner.
Provide training and guidance to customer on issue resolution.
Maintain accurate and up to date user/training and troubleshooting manuals.
Travel to customer sites (including international sites) to provide hands‑on technical support.
Dynamic work‑shifts may be required on need basis.
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Computer Science/Software Engineering.
Fresh grad or minimum 2 year's experience in related field.
Experience in software testing and maintenance.
Excellent leadership, communication and customer skills.
Ability to work under pressure and in a dynamic environment.
Strong software troubleshooting skill in Windows and Linux Environment.
Experience in automation software support and maintenance is an advantage.
Ability to develop software scripts and troubleshooting tools is an advantage.
Knowledge of SECS/GEM and SEMI standards is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of relational databases, including MSSQL, MySQL, and Oracle, is an advantage.
Willing to travel local and overseas.
