We are representing a multinational leader in high-volume production equipment and process solutions for the semiconductor industry, specializing in wafer-level bonding and lithography. Due to expansion in Malaysia, the company is seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer based in Penang.

Responsibilities
- Provide professional, courteous service to ensure complete customer satisfaction.
- Assist customers in diagnosing and resolving equipment or process issues.
- Perform on-site preventive maintenance, equipment cleaning, and operational checks.
- Handle start-up, warranty, paid service, and contract activities within set timelines.
- Report equipment downtime and service activities to management promptly.
- Apply troubleshooting skills to minimize equipment downtime and maintain performance.
- Be available for overtime, short-notice travel, and emergency call-outs as required.
- Diagnose and correct process variations or hardware issues.
- Recommend corrective actions and keep management informed of all developments.
- Conduct customer meetings and communicate professionally in person, by email, and by phone.
- Complete and submit required reports and documentation accurately and on time.
- Maintain equipment logs and service records consistently.
- Travel domestically and internationally (up to 20%) as needed; valid passport required.
- Initiates purchase orders for parts and service.
- Maintains and performs repairs on company demo cleanroom equipment.
- Keeps informed and trained on company's most current systems, methods and procedures, including site safety.
- Demonstrates excellent customer service skills (foreign and domestic).
- Exhibits good housekeeping practices in all work areas.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Diploma or Bachelors Degree in Engineering with at least 4 years experience in semiconductor equipment installation and repair.
- Strong electromechanical troubleshooting and process problem-solving skills.
- Familiar with statistical process control (SPC) and quality improvement methods.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills with all levels of staff and customers.
- Proficient in PC usage.
- This role requires a 3-month training program at the headquarters and the ability to support long-term overseas assignments.
