FIELD SALES MANAGER FOR OTC & MODERN TRADE
The Field Sales Manager for O.T.C and Modern Trade will lead and manage the field sales team to achieve revenue growth, market expansion, and customer satisfaction. This role involves setting sales targets, developing strategies, coaching team members, and building strong relationships with customers and distributors. The Field Sales Manager will also be responsible for monitoring market trends and ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement effective sales strategies to achieve company goals.
- Set, monitor, and evaluate field sales team performance against KPIs and targets.
- Drive market share growth through effective territory management.
- Identify new business opportunities and oversee the acquisition of new accounts.
- Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate the field sales team.
- Conduct regular team meetings and coaching sessions to improve performance.
- Foster a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Manage performance appraisals and career development plans.
Customer Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and partners.
- Handle escalated customer complaints and provide prompt resolution.
- Monitor customer feedback and ensure service quality is maintained.
Market & Competitor Analysis
- Conduct market research to understand trends, competitor activities, and customer needs.
- Provide regular market intelligence reports to senior management.
- Recommend pricing, promotions, and strategies to stay competitive.
Reporting & Compliance
- Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and business reviews to management.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with company policies, industry standards, and local regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of sales performance and customer data.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of sales experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in FMCG, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, or related industry is preferred.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software.
- Willingness to travel extensively within assigned territory.
