Executive search recruitment company, Monroe Consulting Group Malaysia, is partnering with a leading multinational pharmaceutical company to hire a highly motivated Sales Manager. This position is responsible for driving sales performance, managing and coaching a sales team, and expanding the company's pharmaceutical market presence in Malaysia.

The Sales Manager role involves developing sales strategies, training and mentoring team members to effectively promote pharmaceutical products, and strengthening engagement with healthcare professionals (HCPs). The successful candidate will also oversee customer service excellence, resolve client issues through effective problem-solving, and ensure timely follow-up to maintain strong relationships. Additionally, this role requires preparing sales reports, analyzing performance metrics, and providing strategic business recommendations to senior management.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Create and execute a territory sales plan that meets or exceeds established sales quotas and supports Company revenue and profit targets.
  • Support the professional development of Medical Representatives by providing coaching, feedback, and guidance to enhance their sales capabilities and career growth.
  • Lead the team in preparing and executing monthly tour plans to ensure effective field coverage and maximize customer engagement.
  • Work closely with Medical Sales Representatives to improve business development by prioritizing quality leads, planning field activities effectively, and increasing overall efficiency.
  • Meet regularly with existing customers and prospects to understand their evolving business needs and position product solutions accordingly.
  • Build long-term, productive, and mutually beneficial relationships with existing and new customers.
  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of core products through successful completion of sales training and apply this knowledge to achieve sales growth in the assigned territory.
  • Maintain consistent communication and timely follow-up with customers and prospects, ensuring availability and responsiveness to their real-time needs.
  • Work effectively with internal support departments to coordinate activities, align strategies, and support sales growth for new and existing customers.
  • Complete sales activity reports and presentations in a timely manner and provide accurate historical records of area and customer sales.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending workshops, reviewing publications, networking, and participating in professional societies.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in support of business goals

Job Requirement:

  • Possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Science or any other related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends effectively.
