Job summary

A leading engineering company is seeking a Project Liaison Supervisor in Bintulu, Malaysia. The successful candidate will support the Production Unit Manager in conducting operational safety audits and improve HSSE performance among contractors and vendors. Responsibilities include managing SIMOPS activities, leading daily PTW coordination meetings, and ensuring safe working practices on site. Candidates should be experienced in project management and safety practices.

Qualifications

• Experience in managing project activities and safe working practices.
• Ability to lead coordination meetings and manage SIMOPS activities.
• Strong knowledge of HSSE and safety management processes.

Job description

• Act as Project Liaison Supervisor for RM.
• Support PUM 9 Production Unit Manager) to conduct PYW audits for Operation Safety Area.
• Support HSSE in Transition Lead to improve HSSE performance of Contractors and Vendors.
• Able to coordinate and manage SIMOPS activities with other Contractors and Vendors.
• Lead and Coordinate Daily PTW Coordination Meetings.
• Practise Goal of no harm to people through implementation of the HEMP (Hazards, Effects and Management Process) tools as applied to SIMOPS activities on site.
• Ensure safe working practices are observed by Personel, Contractors and Vendors. Hazards and effective management process (HEMP) to ensure all controls and recovery measures have been carefully assessed to mitigate the risk into ALARP (As Low as Reasonably Practicable) based on the risk assessment matrix (RAM) adopted.
• Responsible to review all mitigation as specified in the JHA are properly put in place or implemented where conflicting activities are imminent at work site.
• Ensure potential hazards, precautions, conditions and controls are properly defined and sufficient for work to proceed.
• Effectively manage the PTW control and the permit coordination board.
