Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a site-based Electrical & Instrumentation Technician to install, test, maintain and troubleshoot electrical and instrumentation systems, ensuring safe and efficient operation of equipment.

The role involves cable laying, terminations, installation of field instruments, loop checking, calibration, commissioning, and preventive maintenance, while following drawings, specs and safety rules. Relocation to Johor Bahru is required.

Qualifications

Certificate / Diploma in Electrical / Instrumentation or related field.
Minimum 2-3 years of working experience in Electrical & Instrumentation works.
Ability to read electrical and instrumentation drawings (P&ID, loop diagrams, wiring diagrams).
Familiar with cable termination, instrument installation, and panel wiring.
Basic knowledge of instrument calibration tools is an advantage.
Possess CIDB / OGSP / site safety certifications (preferred).

Responsibilities

Install electrical and instrumentation equipment on site, including cable laying and tray installation.
Terminate power and control cables, including glands and lugs.
Install and maintain field instruments, junction boxes, panels and control systems.
Assist in loop checking, calibration and commissioning.
Troubleshoot and repair electrical and instrumentation faults.
Follow drawings, specifications and safety procedures.
Conduct preventive maintenance for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
Support testing and commissioning during project phases.
Maintain documentation and report progress to supervisor.
Follow site safety rules and permit-to-work systems.
