Job summary

Nokia's Fiber Access R&D organization in Malaysia is seeking an Embedded Software Verification Engineer to validate next-generation fiber connectivity solutions. The role emphasizes software quality, test strategy execution, and automation for embedded networking products.

You will plan verification activities, run feature and system tests, investigate issues with development teams, and build automated validation scripts to ensure robust GPON/XGS-PON performance before releases.

Qualifications

Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
Minimum 2 years of experience in software testing or quality assurance for embedded systems.
Understanding of software validation methodologies and defect lifecycle management.
Familiarity with C/C++ environments.
Basic knowledge of networking and telecommunications concepts.

Responsibilities

Plan and perform software verification activities for embedded networking products.
Execute feature, integration, system, and performance testing.
Investigate software issues and work closely with development teams to identify root causes.
Build and enhance automated validation scripts and test tools.
Verify functionality across fiber access technologies including GPON and XGS-PON solutions.
Support software releases through comprehensive quality assessments.
