Job summary

WD is seeking a motivated Failure Analysis Technician in Penang. You will investigate product failures using Optical Microscope, AFM, OSA and ZYGO to determine defects and support reliability improvements. Fresh graduates are welcome, with 1–3 years of experience preferred.

You will work with cross-functional teams, maintain safety and documentation, and contribute to quality assurance across manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Completion of a diploma in Engineering or related field.
• Working experience: 1-3 years; fresh graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Perform detailed failure analysis on defective materials, components, or products using appropriate analytical tools and techniques to identify root causes.
• Interpret results, monitor failure trends, and implement corrective actions with cross-functional teams to improve reliability.
• Follow all laboratory safety protocols and maintain accurate documentation and handover of findings.
