Overview

A handyman performs a broad range of maintenance and repair tasks, including minor plumbing, carpentry, and painting, while a plumber specializes in installing, repairing, and maintaining water, drainage, and sanitation systems.

Responsibilities

Handyman Responsibilities:

• Performing a wide variety of tasks, such as minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Painting walls, installing shelves, assembling furniture, and repairing doors and windows.
• Conducting routine inspections and responding to maintenance requests in a timely manner.
• Troubleshooting and repairing household appliances and equipment.

Plumber Responsibilities:

• Installing, repairing, and maintaining water and drainage systems in commercial office buildings and cafetaria.
• Installing and replacing fixtures such as sinks, toilets, bathtubs, and showers.
• Diagnosing and fixing issues like low water pressure, blocked drains, and leaky pipes.
• Ensuring all plumbing work adheres to local regulations and building codes.

Skills & Qualifications

Handyman Skills & Qualifications:

• Strong knowledge of various trades, including carpentry, plumbing, and painting.
• Proficiency in using a range of hand and power tools.

Plumber Skills & Qualifications:

Reporting To: Assistant Facility Manager

Working Hours: Monday – Friday 8.30 am – 5.30 pm; Saturday 9.00 am – 1.00 pm
