Job summary

A leading facilities management company in Malaysia is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to monitor support services and conduct preventive maintenance. Candidates should have a diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and 3-5 years of experience in facilities maintenance. Strong knowledge of gas handling and electrical systems is essential, as well as the ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Melayu. The role involves adhering to EHS policies and supervising contractors while maintaining cleanroom protocols.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge in gas handling work.
  • Experience in electrical installation, HVAC, and CDA systems.
  • Knowledge in computer skills preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor daily operations of facilities equipment.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment.
  • Address breakdowns and perform repairs.
  • Ensure compliance with EHS requirements.
  • Supervise contractors and vendors.

Job description

Daily routine monitoring of Facilities plant support services equipment.

Carry out schedule preventive maintenance of facilities support equipment.

Attend to equipment breakdown, trouble shooting and repair work.

To observe and follow EHS requirement all the time.

To observe and follow cleanroom protocol.

Support to supervise contractors and vendors to meet EHS requirement and work completion (as per arranged schedule).

Other duties assigned by superior.

Job Qualifications:
  • Education: Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or Certified Chargeman. Minimum AO.
  • Language: Able to communicate in both English and Bahasa Melayu.
  • Experience: Strong knowledge in gas handling work and experience in electrical installation, HVAC and CDA system.
  • Preferable 3‑5 years of working experience in facilities maintenance and able to work in 12 hour shift pattern.
  • Knowledge in computer is preferred (Excel, Power point).
  • Other Qualifications (Plus Requirements): A certified HT chargeman is an added advantage.

Note: This role requires adherence to EHS policies and cleanroom protocols.
