A leading power solutions provider in Malaysia is looking for a Facilities Technician to perform maintenance and repair of electrical systems. The ideal candidate should have a Diploma in Electrical Engineering and 1-2 years of hands-on experience. Key responsibilities include troubleshooting electrical faults, ensuring compliance with regulations, and collaborating with other maintenance teams. This position may require on-call work based on business needs.
1. Perform regular inspection, preventive maintenance, and repair of electrical systems including switchboards, lighting, motors, generators, HVAC controls, and emergency systems.
2. Troubleshoot and resolve electrical faults using appropriate testing tools and methods.
3. Ensure all electrical installations comply with Electricity Supply Act 1990, Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) requirements, and local regulations.
4. Work collaboratively with mechanical, HVAC, and civil maintenance teams.
5. Liaise with contractors or vendors for outsourced services and project execution.
6. Uphold safety practices and use appropriate PPE as per DOSH (JKKP) regulations.
1. Certificate or Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent (recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency – MQA).
2. Minimum 1-2 years of hands‑on experience in facility or building maintenance.
3. Familiarity with electrical wiring regulations (MS IEC 60364) and Permit to Work (PTW) systems.
4. Good troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills.
5. Able to read and interpret single‑line diagrams and technical drawings.
6. Willing to work on‑call based on operational needs.
