Job summary

A leading construction company in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager. This role involves overseeing daily building operations, including HVAC, electrical, and plumbing systems. The ideal candidate will manage preventive maintenance schedules, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and monitor KPIs. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or a related field, along with 5 years of relevant experience in facilities management. Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily building facilities operations, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, elevators, escalators, and other building systems.
  • Plan and execute preventive and corrective maintenance schedules.
  • Ensure safety, security, and compliance with local laws, fire, safety & health regulations.
  • Monitor and manage all facility-related registrations and certifications, including fire safety certificates, ensuring timely renewals.
  • Coordinate emergency procedures, safety audits, and evacuation drills.
  • Manage facilities budget, control costs, and monitor utility consumption.
  • Monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for facilities operations and drive target achievement.
  • Liaise with vendors and contractors for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Provide hands‑on support for M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) repair and troubleshooting activities when required.
  • Lead, supervise, and train the facilities team; conduct performance evaluations.
  • Support building management in renovation, expansion, or installation projects.
  • Implement energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Facilities Management or related field.
  • 5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in malls or commercial operations.
