Job summary

A leading Asset Management firm in Malaysia is seeking a qualified candidate to oversee and manage asset maintenance for healthcare support services. Key responsibilities include ensuring compliance with quality assurance standards, managing costs, and driving training programs for staff. Job Responsibilities
  • Organize and monitor the operation and management of asset maintenance activities including testing and commissioning, warranty management, scheduled maintenance, unscheduled maintenance, asset decommission, asset disposal, advisory services, user training, vendor management, parts delivery, test equipment management and process to avoid service interruption to comply with the hospital support service’s contract agreement and safety requirement.
  • Ensure all activities comply with Quality, Safety, Health and environment activities (Quality Assurance Program, Risk Management, Hazard Alert and Recall, Handling Hazardous Equipment) as per contract agreement. Support company programmes and activities such as related to HSSE and LEAN e.g. tool box session at agreed frequency set by management
  • Drive service compliance such as ISO 13485, ISO 9001, ISO 14971, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001 / ISO 45001, 6S audit and Department of Occupational, Safety and Health (DOSH) to enhance process efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Plan and manage cost management initiative (Approved Annual Operation Budget, Capital Expenditure, Variation Order, Cost Saving) to achieve company financial annual target.
  • Execute and manage deduction and penalty to ensure it does not exceed company’s target in accordance with company’s KPI.
  • Ensure competency training are provided to technical personnel as well as coordinate successor programme such as coaching practical students, technical training to other staff and self-development training to build up staff’s competency level and improve performance.
  • Produce and verify reports and records (Asset registration in ASIS, Statutory Requirement, management of Engineering Operation Data, Planning for Schedule Maintenance and User Training, Condition Appraisal, Technical Report, submission of justification and quotation on reimbursable work, Hospital specific implementation plan) using ASIS in line with contract’s agreement.
  • Drive stakeholder management (external - Contractor Performance Assessment and Customer Satisfaction Survey, internal – headquarters, vendor etc.) effectively by providing excellent services to maintain good relationship and achieve high customer satisfaction level as per Key Performance Indicator (KPI) set by Company and Ministry of Health.
  • Participate in Customer’s Quality Improvement Programs such as Hospital Accreditation by Malaysian Accreditation for Quality in Health (MSQH) and Ekosistem Kondusif Sektor Awam (EKSA) to support customer’s target in improving quality and performance.
Job Requirements
  • Bachelors Degree for State & Major Specialist Hospital
  • Post Graduate Certificate / Diploma for Minor/Non-Specialist/Medical Institution
  • Specialised in: Biomedical/Electrical Engineering or any relevant field
  • Total Work Experience: 4 to 6 years or 1 to 3 years in Biomedical Maintenance and Services
  • Registered with Board of Engineer Malaysia (BEM)/Malaysia Board of Technologist (MBOT)
