Job summary

Renesas Electronics (Malaysia) seeks a Facility & Environmental Engineering Technician to support building facilities operations and environmental/compliance objectives at our Kulim site. You will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to keep systems running reliably and safely.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering or related field with experience in building facilities maintenance.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.

• Conduct inspections and minor repairs on building facilities (walls, roofs, floors, doors, gates, internal roads).
• Monitor, coordinate, and supervise vendors during maintenance and project activities.
• Support operation and maintenance of Fire Protection, Gas Supply, Exhaust, and Vacuum Systems.
• Ensure sensors and instrumentation are calibrated according to schedule and standards.
• Support energy conservation and cost-saving initiatives.
• Assist in facility improvement projects and other maintenance-related activities.
• Assist in preparing purchase requisitions, service requests, work permits, and tracking maintenance-related administrative activities.

Facility & Environmental Engineering Technician

• Provide operational and technical support to achieve department and organizational objectives.
• Collaborate and coordinate effectively with internal departments and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Environmental Quality Act (EQA), ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, and ISO 45001 Occupational Health & Safety Management System requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct inspections and perform minor repairs on building facilities, including walls, roofs, floors, doors, gates, and internal roads.
• Monitor, coordinate, and supervise vendors during maintenance and project activities.
• Support engineers in the operation, monitoring, and preventive maintenance of Fire Protection Systems, Gas Supply Systems, Exhaust Systems, and Vacuum Systems.
• Ensure all related sensors and instrumentation are calibrated according to the required schedule and standards.
• Support energy conservation and cost-saving initiatives.
• Assist in facility improvement projects and other maintenance-related activities as assigned.
• Assist in preparing purchase requisitions, service requests, work permits, and tracking maintenance-related administrative activities.

Qualifications

• Education: Diploma in Civil & Structural Engineering or a related Engineering discipline, with experience in building facilities maintenance and management.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office applications.
