Job summary

A global certification company in Shah Alam is seeking a Facilities Maintenance Technician to manage various maintenance tasks, including Waste Water Treatment and general repairs. The ideal candidate holds an SKM or equivalent and has experience in facilities maintenance and project management. This role requires coordination with external vendors and performing basic electrical work. Competitive salary offered with full-time hours on-site.

Qualifications

  • SKM / Certificate / Diploma in Electrical & Electronics or equivalent required.
  • Chargeman must be registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
  • Work experience in facilities and maintenance is necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct general maintenance and repair on all areas of the facility.
  • Monitor and maintain the Waste Water Treatment system.
  • Work closely with external vendors and contractors.
  • Act as the project coordinator for maintenance projects.

Job Description
  • Responsiblefor facilities and maintenance items, general repairs and troubleshooting.
  • Responsible for Waste Water Treatment system and it’s facilities.
  • Conductgeneral maintenanceand repair on all areas of the facility; including, but notlimited to: flooring, wall patch, painting, plumbing, lighting, ceiling, tile,door, window, clean up as directed, etc.
  • Conduct general maintenance and routine monitoring of the Waste Water Treatment System.
  • Monitors contractor’s performance; works closely with external vendors and contractors to ensure work is completed according to specifications.
  • May act as the project coordinator for all size projects including large scale repair and new facility construction projects.
  • Monitors and replaces light bulbs in all assigned facilities, as needed.
  • Makes minor plumbing repairs, as necessary.
  • Performs basic electrical work and determines when an electrician is required.
  • Dismantles and installs furniture.
  • Transports goods or equipment as assigned.
  • On-site escortof contractorsand vendors.
  • Performs other maintenance duties as assigned by the Branch Manager.
  • Work on projects as assigned by the management
Qualifications
  • SKM (Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia) / Certificate / Diploma in Electrical & Electronics or equivalent.
  • Qualified chargeman for maintenance and installation. The chargeman shall be registered with Suruhanjaya Tenaga.
  • Work experience related to project management, vendor management, facilities and/or maintenance.
  • Must have basic understanding of facilities maintenance knowledges & skills.
