Facilities Manager
A Facilities Manager is responsible for ensuring that buildings, equipment, and services run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. To oversee maintenance, safety, compliance, budgeting, and space management to support both employees and organizational goals.
Manage day-to-day functioning of the facility, ensuring smooth operations.
Oversee HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems to keep them in working order.
Ensure the workplace meets health, safety, and legal standards.
Organize office layouts, seating, and workspace utilization to maximize efficiency.
Manage contracts and relationships with external service providers.
Handle financial planning for maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
Develop contingency plans for fire, security breaches, or natural disasters.
Implement energy-saving measures and eco-friendly practices.
Scheduling inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance.
Conduct risk assessments, fire drills, and compliance checks.
Oversee utilities, supplies, and equipment procurement.
Lead maintenance teams and assign tasks.
Forecast long-term facility needs, renovations, and expansions.
Provide updates to senior management on facility performance and costs.
