Job summary

TERRAIN PROPERTY SDN BHD is seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance & Handyman Officer/Executive in Iskandar Puteri, Johor. You will support smooth operation and maintenance of hotels, restaurants, confinement centres and cafes with hands-on troubleshooting and independent repair work.

The role requires carrying out electrical, plumbing, HVAC and carpentry tasks, responding to urgent repairs, and maintaining records. Join a team focused on safe, well-maintained facilities and reliable service.

Qualifications

• Minimum Diploma/Certificate in Electrical, Mechanical, Building Maintenance or related field.
• Proven experience in general maintenance, including electrical, plumbing and carpentry works.
• Able to troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues independently.
• Willing to travel between assigned properties.
• Basic communication skills in English or Bahasa Malaysia.
• Must possess own transportation and a valid driving license.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repair works across company properties, including hotels, restaurants, confinement centres, cafes and other facilities.
• Perform general electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry and building maintenance works.
• Troubleshoot and repair lighting, wiring, power sockets, circuit breakers, water heaters, pipe leaks and sanitary systems.
• Carry out general handyman works such as furniture, door and lock repairs, painting, drywall repairs, fixture replacements and minor renovations.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and urgent/emergency repair calls, including night calls where required.
• Conduct regular facility inspections to identify potential issues and prevent major breakdowns.
• Perform basic groundskeeping and landscaping duties to maintain the overall appearance of the properties.
• Maintain proper records of maintenance activities, repairs, equipment status, materials used and spare parts inventory.
• Ensure all maintenance work is carried out safely and in compliance with relevant health, safety and building requirements.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors and external service providers for major, structural, high-voltage or specialised repairs.
• Assist management with facility improvements, upgrades and maintenance projects as required.
• Keep all tools, equipment and maintenance stores clean, organised and in good working condition.
• Travel between assigned properties/outlets as required.
