Job summary

Tentacle Tech is seeking a Network Infrastructure Engineer to own F5 load balancing and firewall management within a finance-sector environment. The role is onsite and contract-based, offering hands-on work on mission-critical systems.

Ideal candidates have a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science or IT and 5–6 years of hands-on network engineering experience, with proven F5 and firewall expertise, SD-WAN Viptela familiarity, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
• 5-6 years hands-on experience in network engineering.
• Proven experience with F5 load balancers.
• Strong knowledge of firewall management and network security best practices.
• Familiarity with SDWAN Viptela.
• AI and Infrastructure as Code (IAC) knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain F5 BIG-IP load balancers for optimal performance and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to F5 load balancing, SSL offloading, and application delivery.
• Implement and manage next-generation firewalls, ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Configure and monitor firewall rules, ACLs, VPNs, and other network security mechanisms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design high-availability, fault-tolerant network solutions.
• Conduct network performance monitoring, security audits, and vulnerability assessments.
• Prepare detailed documentation of network configurations, security policies, and system changes.
