Job description

The F&B Operations Manager is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and performance across the company’s F&B outlets. This role ensures that marketing strategies and business directions are strategically aligned with business objectives and operational needs. The Manager will oversee the overall bistro team, manage marketing activities, strengthen brand visibility, and drive customer engagement to achieve revenue growth.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Strategic Planning & Brand Direction
    • Develop annual marketing strategies and promotional calendars aligned with sales and business goals.
    • Lead brand positioning, identify development, and communication strategies for all F&B concepts.
    • Identify growth opportunities through market research, consumer insights, and trend analysis.
    • Oversee end-to-end marketing campaigns including product launches, festive promotions, and loyalty programmes.
    • Approve and guide creative concepts, campaign messaging, and final artwork.
    • Ensure timely and accurate rollout of promotions across all platforms and outlets.
    • Strategise and supervise digital marketing activities such as social media, paid advertising, SEO/SEM, email marketing, and influencer collaborations.
    • Ensure strong online brand presence and responsiveness to customer feedback.
    • Review and optimise marketing performance metrics for better ROI.
    • Manage external agencies for creative design, media buying, printing, and production.
    • Establish cross-promotional partnerships with malls, brands, influencers, and relevant organisations.
  • Operations & Outlet Support
    • Oversee Bistro operations and ensure a smooth flow.
    • Lead, motivate, and mentor the bistro team, including executives and floor staff.
    • Coordinate with Operations and Kitchen teams on campaign readiness, menu updates, and new product introductions.
    • Ensure all marketing materials (POSM, signage, menu inserts, promotional kits) are properly deployed.
    • Conduct outlet audits to ensure compliance with branding and campaign standards.
  • Data, Reporting & Performance Management
    • Plan and manage the bistro's operational budget with clear tracking of expenses and ROI.
    • Analyse sales data, customer behaviour, and campaign outcomes to evaluate effectiveness.
    • Prepare monthly and quarterly performance reports for management.
    • Recommend improvements or new initiatives based on data-driven insights.
    • Allocate tasks, monitor timelines, and ensure high-quality deliverables.
    • Conduct performance evaluations and propose training and development plans.
    • Negotiate contracts and ensure cost-efficient, timely delivery of services.
    • Review and approve purchase requests, quotations, and invoices.
    • Maintain organised records of artworks, campaigns, digital assets, and SOP documentation.
Requirements
  • 1) Qualifications: Degree in Marketing, Business, Mass Communication, or related field.
  • 2) Experience: 5–8 years of marketing experience, with minimum 2–3 years of managerial capacity.
  • 3) Technical Skills:
    • Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills.
    • Excellent understanding of marketing tools and analytics platforms.
    • Strong project management and multi-tasking abilities.
    • Creative, strategic, and detail-oriented mindset.
    • Strong command of English and Bahasa Malaysia (Mandarin is an added advantage).
