AMHS System Integration Engineer is responsible for planning, integration, testing and supporting Automation Material Handling Systems – including OHT, OHS, AGVs, AMRs, Stockers, Buffers, Lifters and associated software.

The role works closely with TI Central Solution & Site IT team, AMHS vendors, TI manufacturing and process teams to ensure seamless system performance and reliable material flow.

Responsibilities
  • Lead integration of AMHS system into TI Assembly, Test, Probe & Bump operations.
  • Perform system bring-up, configuration, functional checks and interlock verifications.
  • Ensure communication between AMHS system, MES, RMS, PAC and other relevant TI Systems.
  • Develop and execute test plans and DOE for AMHS system qualification.
  • Conduct reliability runs, stress testing and throughput validations.
  • Troubleshoot software issues during qualification and ensure timely closure.
  • Validate interface protocols (SECS/GEM, API, OPC, Ethernet communications).
  • Maintain system configuration documentation, network diagrams, AMHS system architecture diagrams and test reports.
  • Prepare integration summaries, issue reports and lessons‑learned documentations.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Computer Engineering or any related Engineering discipline.
  • Total of at least 5 years of overall working experience in Semiconductor A/T Smart Manufacturing Automation, with at least 1–2 years specifically in AMHS material handling systems automation, MES, or integration projects.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, C#/.NET, SQL (Oracle), XML/XSD, PL/SQL & REST API.
  • Experience with industry standards and protocols (e.g., SECS/GEM standards).
  • Experience in Testing & Releasing models in both engineering & production environment, including edge devices or cloud-based systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively in a cross‑functional team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with AMHS (OHT, OHS, ASRS, AGV, AMR and etc) preferred.
  • Experience with SECS/GEM, OPC-UA, TCP/IP networking and SEMI Industrial communication protocols.
  • Understanding of PLCs, robotics, sensors, and automated control systems.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor back‑end manufacturing processes, including assembly, packaging, and testing.
  • Experience with data analysis tools (Python, R, SQL or equivalent languages).
  • Proven track record of publications, patents, or conference presentations in AHMS/MES applications for manufacturing.
