Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a dedicated Exercise Physiologist to join our rehabilitation team in Kuala Lumpur. The role centers on designing personalised exercise programs, supporting chronic disease management, and working closely with physiotherapists and medical staff to optimise patient outcomes.

You will lead individual and group sessions, perform functional assessments, and contribute to ongoing clinical education initiatives in a dynamic clinical environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology, Exercise Science, Sports Science, or equivalent.
• Experience in clinical exercise prescription, rehabilitation, or chronic disease management.
• Strong understanding of anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and exercise testing protocols.
• Keen to learn and implement advanced technologies (AI, VR, force plates) into practice.
• Keen to teach and train peers and clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
• Certification in CPR/First Aid (preferred).
• Experience with special populations (cardiac, metabolic, geriatric, musculoskeletal) is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive functional assessments and exercise testing.
• Develop personalised exercise prescriptions for rehabilitation, chronic disease management, and performance enhancement.
• Deliver one‑to‑one and group exercise sessions with strong clinical reasoning.
• Collaborate with physiotherapists, doctors, and allied health teams to optimise patient outcomes.
• Monitor patient progress using validated outcome measures and adjust programs accordingly.
• Educate patients on lifestyle modification, physical activity, and long‑term health strategies.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and uphold professional standards.
• Participate in workshops, community programs, and clinical education initiatives.
