Job summary

A leading automotive manufacturing company in Johor, Malaysia, is seeking a Technical Quality Control professional. The ideal candidate will support team operations in quality control of automotive parts, involving assessments and customer claims. Required qualifications include a diploma in relevant fields and at least 3 years of experience in supply chain or logistics. Strong communication skills, particularly in English, are mandated, along with familiarity with automotive systems.

Tasks

This position supports the team lead in the operations of Technical Quality control

· Processing, validating and monitoring a smooth operations of the Technical quality control areas in the supply Chain logistics processes

· Execute and support with the Technical audits, system and business development and planning strategies for the future regional logistics centre in the import and export automotive parts business out of the country

· Ensuring validation of high quality of part quality control and data management

· Close collaboration with Warehouse team on activities and execution of vendor decisions

· Support the administration, programming incl. documentation and compliance to the guidelines of TRP processes in the area of fulfilment, planning, transportation, BI and master data

  • Documenting and development of work instruction and workflows for the approved end to end processes for system and business processes along the relevant SCM E2E areas.
JOB DESCRIPTION

1) Technical Quality Control Operations

· Processing and ensuring the daily operations are carried out and executed by the team in compliance with the Quality Standard

· Contributing to the team and collaborating with the team members and where necessary

2) Technical Advisory & Consultation

· Support on all inquiries in regard to Quality matters and advisory role for packaging improvement techniques.

· Handling of customer claims, escalations, and special requests

· Clarification and verification on parts quality and escalations with Central governance

· Support in all part verification and technical support in warehouse (Inbound, In-house, and Outbound)

3) Special parts Handling

· Lead, monitor and support on PSL process

· Support on PSL process returns where necessary

· Support on CORE part returns where necessary

· Support on CIQ inspection where necessary

· Support on Buyback part returns where necessary

· Support on Customer Claim part returns where necessary

· Support on packaging improvement

4) TRP Support & Programming

· Monitor and support on processing and programming workshop keys, remote keys and parameterisation of any control units.

5) Claim Validations and Inspections (Vendor & Customer Claims)

· Perform technical evaluation and investigations of parts as and when required.

· Prepare a technical report and perform system transactions to send parts to claim department

6) Continuous Improvement

· Monitor and analyse customer requirements, business development and mapping out processes to implement improvement measures where necessary

Qualifications

Education:

· Diploma in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics or any discipline

· Excellent computer skills especially in MS Office - Word, PowerPoint and Excel

Experience:

· Min 3 years related working experience in Automotive Parts business, Supply Chain or Logistics Experience

· Extensive knowledge of spare parts business and operations

· Extensive communication and negotiation skills

Soft skills:

· Excellent communication skills & Interpersonal Skills

· Good working performance individually and as a team

· Strong command of English is required to communicate with regional countries in Asia Pacific and MB Global GSP colleagues

Specific Knowledge

· Added advantage but not necessarily compulsory -SAP Knowledge EWM, CRM, ECC.

  • Mercedes-Benz Logistics system - Star Order Plus

· Technical knowledge of automotive and technical documentation,

· Spare parts system like WIMS, VEDOC, ODUS, AGDOK, EWA Net etc

· Good Knowledge and understanding of the Laws, regulations and guidelines of Free Zone Operations
