Sunway University Executive / Senior Executive

Sunway University is seeking a proactive Executive / Senior Executive to support the operations of laboratories across disciplines including Electrical & Electronic, Mechatronic, Civil, Computing, and IT within the Faculty of Engineering and Technology. The role involves technical support, safety compliance, and administrative coordination to ensure effective lab services for teaching and research.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as the first point of contact and provide administrative support for lab facilities.
  • Manage daily lab operations and maintain condition of equipment and infrastructure.
  • Develop and update SOPs and ensure compliance with OHS and university safety policies.
  • Support lab accreditations, equipment calibration, and servicing.
  • Maintain inventory and manage procurement of lab assets and consumables.
  • Assist in budget planning and new lab development.
  • Provide technical support including testing, troubleshooting, data collection, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and support university events and activities such as Open Days.
  • Ensure labs are well‑kept and presentable.
  • Engage in ad‑hoc tasks and other duties as assigned by Management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant engineering field. Diploma holders with at least 5 years of experience may be considered.
  • 2 to 3 years of experience in engineering or IT lab operations (EE, Mechatronic, Civil, Computing, and IT are highly preferred).
  • Strong organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Self‑motivated, adaptable, and highly capable of working independently and in teams.
  • Strong willingness to take on additional responsibilities and continuously learn new skills and knowledge.
