Job summary

A leading retail company is seeking an Executive/Senior Executive to oversee design and fit-out services. You will review tenant designs, provide planning advice, and ensure compliance through regular site visits. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree and at least 2 years of relevant experience, alongside strong creative and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu is essential, with additional language skills preferred.

Qualifications

Job description
Executive/ Senior Executive - Design & Fit-Out Services

Review and provide comments on tenant concept design submissions for their outlets.

Provide design direction and store planning advice to tenants and their appointed designers.

Perform hands‑on fit‑out coordination with tenants’ fit‑out teams.

Conduct regular site visits to monitor and verify that all works comply with approved submissions and mall regulations.

Coordinate with internal departments (Leasing, Procurement, and Facility Management) to ensure all landlord provisions and tenant requests are properly addressed.

Conduct inspections with tenants and superiors upon project completion, prior to business commencement.

Execute assigned interior design projects as required.

Regularly update the mall master plan, tenancy plans, and landlord provision schedules to ensure information accuracy and currency.

Assist in tenancy design and fit‑out services for upcoming shopping mall projects when required.

Undertake any other duties as assigned from time to time.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s Degree, Postgraduate Diploma, or Professional Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, or a related field.

At least 2 years of relevant working experience.

Familiarity with current design trends, preferably in retail or commercial design.

Strong creative aptitude with proficiency in design software and tools.

Proficient in written and spoken English and Bahasa Melayu; proficiency in vernacular languages such as Mandarin or Tamil is an added advantage.

Able to manage multiple design and fit‑out projects concurrently.

Possesses good interpersonal skills and demonstrates the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
