A company in the engineering sector is seeking a proactive Senior Accounts Executive to join their Finance team in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will help implement a new ERP system and manage various accounting operations. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance and at least 2 years of accounting experience, ideally with ERP exposure. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Executive to join our Finance team. This role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting financial reporting, and contributing to meaningful financial data analysis.
The successful candidate will also take an active role in the implementation of our new ERP system, ensuring smooth data migration, conducting user acceptance testing, and helping refine accounting processes for enhanced efficiency.
Accounting Operations
Assist in month‑end and year‑end closings and the preparation of financial statements.
Perform financial data analysis to support management decision‑making.
Support statutory audits and ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
ERP Implementation & Process Improvement
Participate actively in the ERP system implementation, including requirements gathering, data mapping, and migration.
Conduct data validation, testing, and user acceptance to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Support user training, documentation, and post‑implementation review.
Ensure minimal disruption to accounting operations during the ERP transition.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to ERP systems.
Technical Skills:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
Proficiency in accounting/ERP software (SAP or equivalent).
Advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reconciliation.
Soft Skills:
Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
