Job summary

EcoWorld in Malaysia invites applications for an Executive, Project Planning & Development (PPD). You will assist feasibility assessments, prepare submission documents, review design materials, and liaise with consultants and authorities.

This role ensures planning tasks are completed timely and with clear records. You'll build knowledge of statutory planning procedures, technical design integration, and project development workflows while coordinating with internal teams to support successful

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, civil engineering, or related field.
  • 1–3 years of experience in property development, project coordination, or planning.
  • Exposure to regulatory submissions, drawing management, or consultant coordination preferred.

  • Feasibility Support: gather site data, land use info, and statutory guidelines.
  • Submission Preparation: compile submission documents and liaise with consultants.
  • Design Document Coordination: review drawings and coordinate inputs for alignment.
  • Implementation Assistance: support mock-ups, inspections, and coordination activities.
  • Cross-Stage Responsibilities: maintain records, follow SOPs, and ensure traceability.

Role Summary

The Executive, Project Planning & Development (PPD) provides operational support in the planning and coordination of development projects. This includes assisting with feasibility assessments, preparing submission documentation, reviewing design materials, and engaging with consultants and authorities. The role is expected to ensure that all assigned planning tasks are executed in a timely and organized manner while building knowledge of statutory planning procedures, technical design integration, and project development workflows.

Key Outcomes
  • Assigned planning tasks and coordination activities are completed on time and in accordance with established procedures.
  • Submission and design documents are prepared and reviewed accurately, supporting smooth approvals and project execution.
  • Planning data and records are organized, updated, and traceable throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
  • Feasibility Support
    • Gather site data, land use information, and statutory guidelines to support preliminary project analysis.
    • Assist in preparing feasibility documentation and presentation materials for internal review.
    • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., Investment, Marketing) to collect inputs for planning studies.
  • Submission Preparation
    • Assist in compiling and formatting submission documents (layouts, technical drawings, reports).
    • Liaise with consultants to ensure submission materials are complete, consistent, and aligned with requirements.
    • Track submission timelines and log document status to support timely follow-up and re-submissions.
  • Design Document Coordination
    • Support the review of architectural, infrastructure, and M&E drawings to identify missing or outdated information.
    • Assist in coordinating consultant inputs to ensure alignment with approved planning frameworks.
    • Maintain drawing logs, design change trackers, and documentation archives.
  • Implementation Assistance
    • Support the preparation and coordination of mock-ups, sample boards, and design prototypes.
    • Attend mock-up inspections and document feedback for integration into final designs.
    • Provide administrative and coordination support to the implementation planning team.
  • Cross-Stage Responsibilities
    • Documentation & Filing: Maintain organized records of planning submissions, approvals, and design iterations.
    • Authority Liaison Support: Assist in preparing submission letters and follow-up documentation for authority engagements.
    • Digital Tool Use: Use basic functions of GIS, AutoCAD, and BIM 360 to support document viewing, data capture, and issue tracking.
    • Learning & Compliance: Develop awareness of planning guidelines, submission standards, and internal SOPs through structured project participation.
Technical Competencies
  • Planning Knowledge: Basic understanding of urban planning guidelines, zoning, and layout regulations.
  • Drawing Literacy: Ability to read and interpret basic architectural and infrastructure drawings.
  • Document Management: Skilled in organizing planning documents, tracking submission timelines, and preparing reports.
  • Digital Literacy: Familiar with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, and document collaboration platforms; exposure to GIS/BIM tools is a plus.
  • Coordination Support: Capable of handling multi-party communication, meeting scheduling, and task follow-up effectively.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Urban Planning, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • Additional coursework or training in planning software (AutoCAD, GIS, BIM) is an advantage.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in property development, project coordination, or a planning-related role.
  • Exposure to regulatory submissions, drawing management, or consultant coordination is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage time, follow instructions, and support multiple project tasks simultaneously.
