Job Title

Executive, Pricing Specialist

Reports To

Assistant Manager, Revenue Management

Role Purpose

Deliver and implement the revenue plan and pricing strategies for the designated area by conducting rigorous, continuous, and detailed evaluation of trading conditions, price levels, and competitive positioning to determine optimal pricing levels and structures for each route and market.

Key Accountability
  • Deliver the passenger revenue budget for designated responsibilities through the execution of successful pricing strategies and contribute to the overall Revenue Management Department (RMD) strategy formulation.
  • Implement and maintain relevant and competitive fares, conditions, and rules in line with Malaysia Airlines’ pricing strategy across designated routes, markets, and market segments.
  • Systematically monitor and react to fare and condition movements in the market using best‑practice tools and processes, analyzing competitor activity to ensure Malaysia Airlines’ price position remains competitive and aligned with strategy, while providing insights into market dynamics.
  • Contribute to the development of pricing strategies by continuously analyzing market conditions and the competitive landscape, making recommendations to the Head of Revenue Management Operations to optimize revenue generation.
  • Execute proactive and reactive pricing initiatives accurately and in a timely manner, and perform regular fare integrity checks and maintenance activities.
Qualifications & Working Experience
  • Degree in a numerical discipline (e.g., Economics) and/or Business, with 0 to 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience in Airline Revenue Management, Pricing, or Commercial would be an added advantage.
Personality Traits
  • Takes accountability and ownership of responsibilities, with the ability to work accurately in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to interpret large and complex data sets to identify trends and solutions.
  • Good communication and negotiation skills; presentation skills would be an added advantage.
  • Creative problem‑solving abilities and strong commercial acumen.
  • Background in commercial aviation and a collaborative team player at peer level.
