Job description

JOB PURPOSE

The Executive, Operations Compliance (IT & Data Analytics) is responsible for driving compliance oversight and quality assurance across IT-related operational processes within the EPF Operations Division. The role focuses on leveraging data analytics to enhance control effectiveness, ensure adherence to governance standards, and support continuous process improvement through evidence-based insights.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Support and coordinate IT compliance and quality assurance programs across EPF Operations Division, ensuring alignment with internal policies, IT governance standards, and regulatory expectations.
• Develop and execute data analytics initiatives to identify risk trends, anomalies, and process inefficiencies across operational systems and modules.
• Perform data extraction, transformation, and visualization using analytics and dashboarding tools to support compliance reviews, audits, and management reporting.
• Conduct compliance reviews and assessments on IT operations processes, vendor management, and process improvement review to ensure operational and regulatory integrity.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (i.e. IT, risk management, and business units) to assess vulnerabilities and recommend enhancements to compliance and control frameworks.
• Support the implementation and monitoring of the Annual Compliance Plan, Quality Assurance (QA) routines, and Control Self-Assessment (CSA) activities.
• Provide management with data-driven insights on governance, risk, and control performance for informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Benchmark best practices in IT compliance, assurance methodologies, and data analytics to strengthen EPF’s operational resilience.
• Prepare high-quality reports and presentations for senior management and relevant stakeholders, highlighting key findings, issues, and improvement recommendations.
• Promote a culture of compliance awareness, accountability, and evidence-based decision-making across the Operations Compliance Department.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Malaysian citizen.
• Pass Malay Language including oral test at Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level.
• Possess a Bachelor’s Degree (Honours) in Information Technology, Computer Science, Statistics, Business Analytics, or other related disciplines recognised by the Malaysian Government.
• Professional certifications such as Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or relevant data analytics certifications are an added advantage.
• At least 2-4 years of working experience in IT compliance, auditing, or data analytics, preferably within a financial or regulated institution.
• Sound understanding of IT governance frameworks (e.g., COBIT, ITIL) and data management principles.
• Proficient in data analytics and visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Python).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret data and translate insights into practical recommendations.
• High integrity, detail-oriented, and able to work independently and collaboratively.
• Excellent communication, report-writing, and presentation skills.
• Proficient in both oral and written Bahasa Melayu and English.
