A leading educational institution in Malaysia seeks an Executive Officer for the HKU Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science. This role involves planning outreach events, managing budgets, and developing marketing strategies. Candidates should have a relevant Bachelor's degree and at least four years of experience in event management or public relations. A competitive salary along with benefits will be offered.
The University of Hong Kong invites applications for an Executive Officer in the HKU Musketeers Foundation Institute of Data Science. The role will commence as soon as possible on a two‑year fixed‑term basis with contract‑end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 10% of basic salary, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance.
Applicants should possess a good Bachelor’s degree, preferably in marketing, journalism, communications, language, or a related discipline, and at least four years of relevant work experience in tertiary education institutions or NGOs, particularly in event management, public relations, and/or publishing design, media and communications (e.g., website and social media management). Experience in committee work and supervision of junior staff in a small team is preferred. Strong communication skills, self‑motivation, awareness of global affairs and proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) are essential. A high level of computer literacy and the ability to manage multiple assignments concurrently while balancing priorities and meeting deadlines are required. The candidate should be able to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits. The appointee may be required to work outside normal office hours and on weekends.
