Executive (Marketing, Events & Membership Services)

Assist in serving the Executive Committee and the National Council.

Responsibilities
  • Plan, organize, market and manage events such as briefings, seminars/talks, conferences, social events, sports activities, property expositions and networking sessions.
  • Communicate effectively with members, participants, internal teams and external vendors to ensure smooth event execution.
  • Handle logistics, registrations, and on-site coordination to ensure smooth operations.
  • Manage membership applications, renewals and inquiries; support member engagement initiatives and maintain accurate records in the membership database.
  • Prepare reports on event outcomes, membership statistics and related meetings for submission to the Manager/CEO.
  • Assist in securing partners/sponsors for events.
  • Assist in timely production and distribution of REHDA’s monthly newsletter (REHDA Bulletin) and yearly management portfolio.
  • Assist in content management of REHDA website, Facebook page and other social media initiatives.
  • Assist in preparation of communication materials including below-the-line materials.
  • Assist in marketing of REHDA membership and managing the database.
  • Perform any other duties as may be required by Management.
Qualifications
  • Degree in related disciplines.
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in event management and marketing of expositions, study tours, conferences, seminars, talks, etc. handling event coordination, liaison with exhibitors/participants, vendors, media, etc.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Able to work under pressure, systematically in a very fast paced environment with minimum supervision – independently or in a team.
  • Social media adeptness – Facebook, website, Instagram, WhatsApp, etc.
  • Experience in large-scale event planning is an added advantage.
  • Skills in basic graphic editing or digital marketing platform experiences would be an advantage.
  • Must be IT savvy.
  • Good command of verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia as well as flair for writing.
