Job description
JOB PURPOSE:
  • Perform the financial accounting and operations for OBU’s Labuan office to ensure adherence to the Group’s policies and prevailing statutory requirements.
  • Supporting the Manager for being a key liaison for OBU for Labuan related regulatory and financing needs.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
  • Support Manager in preparing full set of financial statement, working sheet and data entry via FICO SAP system for the monthly accrual of General Ledger ensuring adherence to Group's policies and prevailing statutory requirements.
  • Prepare the closing of monthly accounts and ensure all accounting entries are complete, correctly coded, and accurate reported in the system.
  • Prepare submissions of financial reports to Manager.
  • Prepare inventory of assets. Source for office supplies vendors and keep track of the supplies.
  • Supporting Manager in preparations and coordination of the itinerary of Board Meetings and Executive Committee meetings, luncheons, events and other similar activities.
  • Prepare and propose 5-year annual budget for the companies to ensure optimal resource allocation within the companies.
  • Assist Manager to ensure adherence to the Labuan Financial Services Authority (LFSA) regulations and assist with monitoring of other MISC Labuan companies to adhere to the same regulations.
  • Assist Manager in implementing and maintaining the standard operating procedure i.e. Limit of Authority (LOA), Signature Authorisation Form (SAF) and Financial Control Framework (FCF).
  • Ensure the operations in the Labuan office are functioning properly and well maintained.
  • Ensure all payments to the vendor for Labuan office are tracked, recorded and paid on time timely.
  • Support and deliver ad-hoc tasks and duties as assigned by Manager and HQ from time to time.
JOB REQUIREMENT:
  • Minimum 1-3 year of relevant experience in Finance/ Treasury/ Accounting.
  • Degree in Accounting/ Finance or other related professional qualifications.
