JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

To support the Finance Insights & Intelligence function in developing data-driven insights, automation solutions, and analytical reports that enhance financial decision-making and operational efficiency across the Finance Department. The role focuses on delivering high-quality dashboards, process automation, and actionable analytics aligned with initiatives of Finance Department. This role plays a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of the section’s deliverables. The Executive acts as the primary preparer, supporting the Manager in executing initiatives, coordinating data inputs, and maintaining technical standards in analytics operations.

JOB SCOPE
Preparation of Deliverables
  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and financial insights as per request or scheduled reporting timelines.
  • Translate business requirements into analytical outputs and data visualisations.
  • Ensure that all section outputs meet quality, format, and data accuracy standards.
Data Compilation & Analytics Execution
  • Source, clean, and transform data from multiple systems to support reporting and insight generation.
  • Prepare datasets, data models, and queries using tools such as SQL, Excel, and Power BI.
  • Conduct analysis to support budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and business performance reviews.
Process Automation
  • Identify, design, and automate repetitive processes to reduce manual effort and improve turnaround time.
  • Develop and maintain automation workflows using tools such as Microsoft Power Automate, Power BI, VBA or other automation tools.
  • Maintain process documentation, standard operating procedures and version control for all automation assets.
  • Monitor performance of automation solutions and ensure scalability, security, and compliance with internal IT and data governance standards.
Support for Request Fulfilment
  • Actively prepare deliverables for dashboard requests, ad hoc analysis, and insight-related initiatives.
  • Track request progress and maintain structured documentation of assumptions, sources, and logic used.
  • Liaise with analysts or technical staff to resolve data gaps, logic errors, or presentation issues.
  • Communicate findings and progress clearly to stakeholders, maintaining structured documentation for logic, data sources, and validation checks.
Quality Assurance & Documentation
  • Perform checks to ensure accuracy, alignment, and consistency of reporting content.
  • Maintain technical documentation, dashboard user guides, and process notes.
  • Propose enhancements to improve efficiency, visual clarity, or usability of analytics deliverables.
Operational & Coordination Support
  • Provide support to the Manager in monitoring delivery timelines and preparing section-level reports.
  • Coordinate with relevant units (e.g., Data Governance, IT) to access data and resolve issues.
  • Assist in user feedback collection and post-delivery improvement of dashboards or reports.
  • Support capacity-building efforts by developing user guides, training materials, and knowledge-sharing sessions to strengthen data literacy across the Finance function.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Data Science, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • At least 4 years of relevant experience in analytics, data operations, or business intelligence.
  • Proficient in BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
  • Hands‑on skills in SQL, Excel formulas, and data transformation (Power Query, DAX, etc).
  • Familiarity with automation (e.g. VBA, Microsoft Power Automate, RPA), scripting, application development (e.g. Microsoft Power Apps) or AI applications is an added advantage.
  • Exposure to SAP S/4HANA, data warehouse environments, or finance reporting systems is an advantage.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage technical tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Malaysian citizen.
  • Obtain a pass in Bahasa Melayu, including an oral test in Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) level or equivalent qualification recognised by the Government.
