Key Accountabilities

Assisting the Section Head in overseeing the efficient operation of cash management and management accounting functions, encompassing month end closing, payment processing, collections, and reconciliations.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

• Maintaining an accurate and effective general ledger, including fixed assets, accounts payable, and accounts receivable sub-ledgers.
• Preparing and processing payments and collections.
• Conducting timely bank and key account reconciliations.
• Preparing and posting journal entries for the month end closing.
• Preparing daily cash flow to ensure timely execution of payments and fund transfers.
• Processing claims for staff reimbursements.
• Processing payments for direct and indirect taxes.
• Performing additional ad-hoc duties as assigned by the supervisor as required.

Qualifications

• Job Specifications:
• Experience: Degree in Accounting or equivalent professional qualifications.
• Minimum 3 years’ working experience in handling accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, month end closing activities, payments, receipts and intercompany transactions.
• Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:
• Strong knowledge in management accounting and double entries.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office Applications especially MS Excel (advanced level).
• Knowledge/experience in Oracle Accounting system would be an added advantage.
• Good analytical, problem-solving skills and resourceful.
• Must be independent, initiative, and have high level of integrity.
• Result oriented and proactive.
• Organised and accurate.
• Team player.
