Job description

Primary: Perform and implement all customs clearance activities such as following upcoming shipment, documents transactions and day-to-day related activities in accordance with the company's objectives, policies and procedures. Handle all shipping activities including imports & exports coordination and required documents.

Secondary: Prepare LMW monthly report for submission to Royal Customs Malaysia without fail.

Coordinate with the shipping agents and courier service companies for shipping activities.

Job Duties

1. Participating in the development of the Custom Clearance Section's work plan and preparing work schedules and expediting work flow to improve efficiency of the Custom Clearance Section.
2. Following up with Operation department and Clients for reception of complete set of shipping documents for customs clearance purposes and ensure its compliance with M'sia customs regulations and LMW exemption lists requirements.
3. Follow‑up with the Customs Brokers for clearance of imported items within the shortest possible time and/or the agreed time frame.
4. Examining invoices and shipping manifests for conformity to tariff and customs regulations.
5. Handling and issuing dispatch note/packing list and/or invoice for all shipments.
6. Any other duties assigned by the superior from time to time.

Minimum Job Requirements

Diploma or Degree holder with 2 to 3 years relevant experience.

Experience

2 to 3 years in Manufacturing environment.

Special Skills, Knowledge, Certifications, Licenses

• Knowledge: Knowledge of customs clearance documentation requirements for imports and exports, customs working patterns and procedures as well as shipping requirements.
• Skill Set: Good verbal and written communications skills, computer savvy and English mandatory.
• Ability: Able to perform daily activities with minimum supervision.
• Other Characteristics: Good interpersonal communication skills inclusive of writing & presentation.
• Physical Job Requirements: Fast‑paced environment.
