The Senior Executive, Commercial & Pricing is responsible for monitoring day‑to‑day menu quotations, performing analysis, market research, benchmarking, contractual validation and ensuring pricing meets financial targets and timelines. This role assists the Manager in establishing and defining recipe‑based pricing, costing procedures and delivering competitive, profit‑making business strategy.

Role Purpose

The Senior Executive, Commercial & Pricing is responsible for monitoring day‑to‑day menu quotations, performing analysis, market research and benchmarking, contractual validation and ensuring pricing meets intended financial targets and timelines. This role assists the Manager in establishing and defining recipe‑based pricing, costing procedures and delivering competitive, profit‑making business strategy.

Key Accountabilities
Pricing Analysis & Planning
  • Review and analyze quotations from overseas catering service providers and local meal suppliers to ensure alignment with menu specifications and contractual pricing terms.
  • Compare quotations against historical pricing and highlight pricing gaps with preliminary root‑cause analysis.
  • Support the preparation of pricing and trend reports, including market movement observations, for informed decision‑making.
  • Identify price irregularities (e.g., portion size variance, ingredient ratio deviations, pricing discrepancies) and elevate findings with recommended actions.
  • Ensure quotations are accurately validated and submitted for pricing approval in accordance with contractual and governance requirements.
Governance & Control
  • Maintain centralized quotation and pricing documentation from all catering service providers and meal suppliers to ensure complete audit traceability.
  • Execute pricing processes accurately in the In‑Flight Systems to support compliant approval processes and pricing control standards.
  • Track menu specification and pricing approval progress, ensuring timely follow‑through to avoid deployment delays.
  • Support cost optimization by identifying and recommending adjustments to menu components or ingredients where appropriate.
  • Liaise with overseas catering service providers and suppliers to ensure quotation accuracy and alignment with final deployed menus and service specifications.
  • Monitor and report any unvetted or unauthorized menu implementations to protect governance and compliance integrity.
Contract & Commercial Pricing
  • Support the Manager in maintaining accurate recipe and menu costing data, including raw material pricing and yield assumptions.
  • Establish and maintain a structured database of raw material cost records and supplier benchmarking information to support commercial analytics.
  • Monitor fluctuations in raw material prices and highlight key cost trends for commercial and menu planning decision support.
  • Assist in tracking and analyzing yield losses and recipe consistency to support cost accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist the Manager in preparing cost models and pricing inputs for commercial proposals, tenders, and bidding participation.
Qualification & Working Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Statistics, Business Administration, or other related field from recognized higher institutions.
  • 0-3 years of experience in airlines business, catering operations, finance, pricing, management support or other relevant areas.
