Cezars Kitchen is seeking a qualified Executive Chef to join our company in Johor Bahru.

We are searching for a highly skilled, super passionate Executive Chef to lead our growth and expansion in Malaysia. The person must have multi‑operation experience and manage the team of 50‑60 people. Must work together well with the General Manager & Catering Manager. Laise daily based with the Corporate Chef.

Capable handling a high pressure operation. The perfect candidate will be “the chief” and maintain complete control of the kitchens. Our services provide support to the life blood of a school, university and businesses, and it’s up to the kitchen team to keep the users energized with healthy dishes to give them the strength to learn or succeed in business. This is no easy feat, as we are always striving to improve the atmosphere, menu and overall service in our kitchens.

We're not your typical catering company; our philosophy is focused on creating food that is alive with enjoyable flavors. We’re based in Japan, serving many types of communities with truly international cuisines, as our users are from all over the world with different pallets. We never rest and are always sourcing the most authentic foods and creating popular recipes.

In your role, you are the Director of Quality! You must ensure the highest quality of food production that will wow your guests, making them wanting to come back for seconds, thirds and so forth in all of our locations.

Essential Functions: Individuals who meet the following expectations will be contacted for an interview:

Responsibilities
  • Passionate about food! We cook for scratch with Love.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in a high volume kitchen. You will be responsible for all Kitchen Production; Plan and direct food preparation and culinary activities.
  • Ability to cook, modify menus and create new ones: Meet quality standards of an international western cooking.
  • Lead the Atmosphere: Insure the staff are working efficiently, cleanly, organized and professional.
  • Supervise: Supervise and manage kitchen staff’s activities at all outlets. In charge of all staff training, to insure proper procedures for handling food and serving customers.
  • Purchasing: Manage all food and supply orders following approved vendor list and purchasing policy.
  • Food Costs: Monitor kitchen to ensure proper use of product and inventory control while keeping waste to a minimum.
  • Labor management: Hire staff, complete annual reviews, promote low‑turnover and keep labor under 30%
  • Multi‑Unit Experience: Understand time management, able to multi‑task/lead and can enjoy moving location‑to‑location.
  • Communication: Respond to all emails within 24 business hours.
  • Safety & Security: Maintain a safe work environment for all staff and guests.
  • Self‑motivated and can work with the team and without direct supervision.
  • Enjoy working around children: You’re cooking for and catering to students, faculty, staff and parents

Qualifications

The right candidate will have the skillset:

  • Passport required, will need to travel overseas.
  • Own transportation to/from work location.
  • Ability to stand for several hours at a time in a fast pace kitchen.
  • Ability and willingness to learn new recipes/processes and techniques.
  • Integrity to follow company policies and procedures (SOPs).
  • Work quickly and under time constraints.
  • Strong communications skills; professionally speak and write in English
  • Computer literate, can use Microsoft office.
