Job summary

MSIG Insurance Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Executive in Management Information / Data Management to develop and maintain BI reports and dashboards, collaborating with business users to convert data into actionable insights.

You will ensure data accuracy, manage report content, and support decision-making; fresh graduates welcome, and those with insurance-domain experience are a plus; proficiency in BI tools and MS Office 365 is required.

Qualifications

• Degree Holder in IT (Data Analysis/Data Engineer), Mathematics, or Data Management related disciplines.
• Candidates with operational working experience in general insurance companies.
• Fresh graduates with relevant qualifications are also encouraged to apply.
• For experienced candidates, exposure to BI tools such as SAP BI/Tableau/Alteryx/MS SQL Server.
• Proficient in MS Office 365 (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Planner, SharePoint, List).
• Methodical and detailed.
• Pro-active and hands-on involvement with departmental tasks/activities.
• Basic analytical skills in understanding/interpreting data.
• Basic communication skills — Written, spoken and presentation skills in English.
• Good teamwork/able to work well in teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, enhance, and maintain BI reports and dashboards to support business monitoring and strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with business users to understand information needs, interpret data, and provide actional insights.
• Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of data used for reporting and analysis.
• Manage BI report content and lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and research/explore reporting issues.
• Prepare documentation of reports developed.
• Data management and data analysis related activities where required.
