Job summary

A leading retail company located in Subang Jaya is seeking an Executive/Assistant for Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable. The role involves managing payments, maintaining accurate records, and handling discrepancies with vendors. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Accountancy and at least one year of relevant experience in the retail or F&B sectors. This position demands a responsible individual with a positive attitude, capable of working independently. Immediate starters will have an advantage.

  • Preferably Executives with at least 1 year of related working experience in retail/f&b.

  • Preparation of all Creditors Reconciliation.
  • Perform proper archiving of documents.
  • Manage all accounting payable transactions.
  • Perform daily cash/credit card/cashless payments tracking for all outlets.

Executive / Assistant - Accounts Payable or Accounts Receivable

The Executive or Assistant - AP / AR ensuring timely collection of payments, and maintaining accurate records of all transactions.

Key Responsibilities For Accounts Payable:

  • Preparation of all Creditors Reconciliation
  • Tracker file for all existing suppliers’ and upload in server
  • Prepare payments with all invoices prepared before hand for senior to review ( scheduling )
  • Perform proper archiving of documents
  • Issue Debit Note ("DN") & Credit Note ("CN") where required and follow up outstanding invoices/Debit Note
  • Manage all accounting payable transactions
  • Attend to email / call enquiries on matters pertaining to vendor
  • Handle monthly and annual closings
  • Maintain vendor records and ensure the accuracy of vendor information in the system.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding invoice discrepancies, payment inquiries, and account reconciliations.
  • Liaise with stakeholders/ inform seniors any irregularities on purchases/ invoices not being perform receiving by outlets
  • Ad-Hoc Tasks: Be flexible and ready to undertake any ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors to support the finance team's objectives.

Key Responsibilities For Accounts Receivable:

  • Perform daily cash/credit card/cashless payments tracking for all outlets.
  • Perform monthly bank, receivables and vouchers reconciliations.
  • Issues invoices to customers as at when needed and send monthly gross sales statement to landlords.
  • Responsible for maintaining and filling of complete records of business transactions.
  • Liaise with stakeholders if have any discrepancies (Collections shortage and vice versa).
  • Monthly filing of outlets end of day sales reports and slips etc.
  • Perform balance sheet analysis and identify any deficiency in controls and provide solutions to improve.
  • Ensures all accounting documents are posted accurately and on a timely basis.
  • Handle ad-hoc tasks assigned by superiors/management from time to time.

Job Requirements:

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy or equivalent.
  • Preferably Executives with at least 1 year(s) of related working experience in retail/f&b.
  • Responsible, positive attitude, mature and able to work independently.
  • Willing to work in SS15 Subang Jaya.
  • Candidates who can start work immediately will be advantages.
